Sticks and Stones

Greetings Dear Friends!!!!

I hope this email finds you all happy, well and totally enjoying the season!!!! This is my most favorite time of year and holiday!!!!

I celebrate by tending the gardens and thanking the plants for all that they have given. They are tucked in and given their winter coats. The last harvests are brought in to be dried, canned, tinctured, etc. This is the time I start my holiday herb crafts for gifts.

At this time of year I find myself CRAVING Mugwort tea!!!! I don't know if it is because I spend so much time carefully harvesting the leaves from the over 6 foot tall bushes in the garden or it's my mind building and feeding my psychic powers, I do know I can't get enough of it!!!!

I celebrate the spiders of the year who have given us all their great webs for our natural decorations. I also decorate with all the delicious commercial symbols.
I clean up and add to my ancestor altar getting ready for the night when we are the closest.

These are just a few of the ways I am celebrating this place on the wheel.. I would LOVE to hear what you are all up to!!!

Cheers, Hugs and Blessings and Boos to All!!!
Bubbles

We will miss you! I believe there will be 12 of us in Basye, Va for the weekend. We have rituals, Dumb Supper, games, songs, drumming and dancing (and a unique shopping experience ) planned. We'll take pictures. You do the same, sweet sister. Don't do too much until your knee is well.

Thanks to you dear Bubbles, I will have some mugwort tea this season... what a lovely new autumn tradition for me. Can I mix it with other herbs? (like STEVIA?) This is my time for apples and oatmeal, and tearing up when I drive through the brilliantly beautiful trees as they turn.

The spiders are so special to me too - they remind me to tap into my gentle strength, and to keep weaving my web (and to not get discouraged if some human comes along and tears it down.)

We carve pumpkins and play at the pumpkin patch every year. I am always at home for Samhain, and I do a special ritual for my ancestors and my spirit friends.

oh, and thank you Estarovia, for reminding me of ..... BOO Y'ALL!!!!

(Luna's busy carving pumpkins.... she let the boys do some too lol)

Love,
Gwendolyn

I attached 2 pics of Juneau baby you'll love! There's a normal pic of him on the about me part of my site but he got a stuffed moose he tore apart i will attach a pic (so gruesome! lol) & then the pic after is him pooped after being out all night with me lol. Don't let his pout fool you-he was a huge ham! =))

On the weight loss I had a bad injury in 1996 that also gave me an unexpected edge! My father had just passed, mom was crazies, & I was still modeling/working my butt off so guess the body said "enough!" cuz I woke up one morning with no movement or use of my right hand (artists' nightmare). Many thousands of dollars & drs later still no good. I researched yoga moves to help & visited my newer at the time local health food store & got cool cayenne & bromelain. the 1st was for circulation which helps pains as well as metabolism, & the 2nd is just the enzyme from pineapple which helps you digest foods better, getting nutrients & stuff, & is an anti-inflammatory! (So much better than ibuprofen, though I still need it on occasion in roller coaster weather). A couple weeks later I could jerk my hand at will abit, then went to holding little 1 lb dumbbells (very humbling after having bought 15 lb dumbbells 2 months prior) & went from there. Otherwise I did the same with weight loss in high school-I went in a size 16 & graduated a modeling size 6! (Although I started more weights & went to an 8 & held that longer). Biggies are LOTS of water (preferably spring-distilled in too large amounts can rip nutrients from your body), limit or no fried foods, lots of Mother earth's foods, & not eating 3-4 hours before bedtime (it just gets stored). I love breakfast foods so I was doing so then & am again having my biggest meal of the day in the morning (more time to burn it off) & I'm in Texas so put salsa on my scrambled egg whites & baked potatoes & cayenne on my fish lol (thermogetics-actually been proven to keep metabolism higher longer after you eat-plus back to helping with body pains & inspires you to drink more water lol-seriously-I love spicy food-stomach just doesn't always! =)).

Whooo-can't believe I remember all that! I really need to get off my butt & finish my ACE personal Training certification (medical issue derailed me) lol. Back then I'd wanted to model & not be the stereotype & let people know it could be done in a healthy way so I researched my little heart out-looks like a lot stuck lol.

I'm so glad you love your jewelry-that makes me happier than anything!!! =)) Thanks for helping me "get it out there"-I know more pieces are still just humming around here waiting for their intended!

xoxoxo Always!, Akasha Kitsune

Hello Bubbles,

I really liked the mugwort tea blend we all enjoyed together last Saturday at Sticks and Stones. Do you know if it is available to buy at Sticks and Stones? Perhaps the tea recipe can be shared here if it isn't available to buy.

Hugs, :-)

Mary
