- I am a resident of Alexandria, VA. My interest in the spiritual dimension to life was ignited when I first made contact with my Guru, Paramhansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi. This contact occurred by visiting The Expanding Light, a retreat center in Nevada City, CA. E.L. was established by Kriyananda, who was a direct disciple of Yogananda. My path has been clear ever since that visit back in 1994.
