Goddess Is Alive! workshop with Aphrodite

The goal of this monthly course is to act as an introductory survey of Goddesses from around the world, the way they were worshipped, and modern interpretations through the the lens of modern witchcraft.

Each month a particular Goddesses will be explored in a scholastic, spiritual, and open manner.

Goddess worship can be found in a multitude of cultures. Goddess worship was so prevalent in the ancient world that it was a vibrant and powerful part of everyday life. 

Sticks and Stones Circle respects each and everyone’s spiritual path; we do not discriminate based on race, religion, sexual orientation, political views, gender identity or expression, disability, national origin, or veteran status. Please be kind and respectful with your discussions, as we have many people that walk different paths entering our store.

Artie wishes to create a community of support and inclusion, and does not wish to discourage people from taking an active part in the guided discussion. Recording devices will not be permitted. It is also important to note that we will be talking about Goddesses in relation to their myths, history, and their cults. Some myths are difficult to discuss, possibly triggering for individuals. You may wish to look up the deity and read a little bit about their origin before attending class. We wish to provide a safe and comfortable place for all individuals, but we will not censor the history of the divine feminine.

Artie has been studying Goddesses, the tarot and witchcraft, since their teenage years, and over the last six years have begun their exploration into Hoodoo and different aspects of shamanistic practices. They first came across their first deck at thirteen and have been in love with divination since. Artie’s style of reading involves speaking with your spirits, angels, ancestors, guides, or other spiritual forces that surround you through the cards and delivering their messages to you.
