The Art of Candle Making

Candle making, among other crafts, is one of my favorite hobbies. I’m very excited to be teaching one of my favorite things to others! Join my class to learn the art of candle making with recycled wax that creates a feathered or snowflake effect. I will teach everything there is to know about adding color, fragrance and herbs and the special techniques I use. We will create beautiful aromatic candles that you will be able to go home and make.

The best part, everyone will go home with a candle as well!

BIO: My name is Stefanie Cline and originally I am from Texas, now living in Alexandria, Virginia with the love of my life, Michael, who I've known since seventh grade and with our daughter, Jayden Leigh who is the source of my energetic, creative inspiration. I consider myself as a nature girl/present-day hippie, appreciating all that nature and earth has to give and teach us. I have a long list of crafts/hobbies that I enjoy such as crochet, painting, drawing, soapmaking, salves, lip balms, poetry, herbal remedies and the love of reading, just to name a few. Candlemaking overall is the one craft I enjoy the most and has begun to open up many possibilities for me. I would love to pass on the knowledge and fun art of creating these candles that exude aromas scents. My Great-Grandmother was an inspiration for me to learn more about plants, herbs, flowers and trees due to her country home-made recipes straight from the garden. That lead me to become more interested in educating myself and taking courses in the healing art of herbs. I plan on pursuing that and much more as the opportunities come!
