Among the Norse practitioners and especially from the remaining literature, the Norse gods get a lot of press. Granted, it was always possible that that hobo coming down the trail was Odin, but it was "those ones" that a viking had to be careful about. And they were just as rich and interesting as the Celtic Fairies. They've survived today in the concept of land wights (icelandic 'elves'), in children's stories, and in the oral history that has come down to us. This is a moderated discussion style class, so bring your favorite being (if you have one) and story and we can both learn and entertain each other.
Like the vikings, we will use a wide range of definition of the word "Norse" from Germanic, to Scottish, to Scandinavian, Estonian and Norman.
Instructor: Miki Tracey
Course Fee: $30
*this course is not designed for children, but they are welcome.
