Event Description

Come join us for a discussion about works of fiction with pagan themes!  Each month we will discuss a different book, and the selections will come from you!

Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up a bewitched alchemical manuscript in the course of her research. Descended from an old and distinguished line of witches, Diana wants nothing to do with sorcery; so after a furtive glance and a few notes, she banishes the book to the stacks. But her discovery sets a fantastical underworld stirring, and a horde of daemons, witches, and vampires soon descends upon the library. Diana has stumbled upon a coveted treasure lost for centuries-and she is the only creature who can break its spell.

This is a free meetup, and each person is expected to have found the book ahead of time and read it. (Amazon.com sells millions of used books at super cheap prices) Oh, and snacks are also ALWAYS appreciated! Tea will be provided.

We will not be beholden to reading complete series of books.  The point is to introduce each other to a variety of pagan authors. (But feel free to finish the series of your own accord)

I can't wait to hear what the next book will be.  Hopefully it will get to me in time to read it and be there next month.  The last one came very late, plus I had dinner plans with an old friend Friday night.  Look forward to next month.  Thank you!

I am so sorry I didn't make it to the one last night.  My husband passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 1st and my world has been turned upside down.  As a result, I didn't finish the book but I liked what I had read so far.  Was going to come anyway but I had a horrible migraine.  I look forward to hearing what the next book is.

Thank you!
